Dream big. These are the words that came to mind when I came across a story about a photojournalism graduate student shooting his trip to the North Pole. Mike Mezeul II, from the University of North Texas, wanted to document his journey to the North Pole to readers on the internet through photographs. Mezeul’s talent with a camera is amazing and eye catching. This story shows how big dreams, and dedication can lead to success. Full story: Denton Record-Chronicle
Attention iPhone 4 users. I recently stumbled upon a new app called, True NightVision. This app allows you to take photos in very low lighting, with fairly decent result. It’s a convenient app for those night time quick shots at a party or while out on the town. I haven’t used the app yet, but it’s only a $0.99 purchase. In my opinion, it seems worth the buy even if you only use it once. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/true-nightvision/id407897439?mt=8
I’ve been looking to expand my lens collection, and have been researching the different 50mm lens available for canon. I’ve found that the Normal EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Autofocus Lens has had the best reviews and the most bang for your buck. Selling on average for $350.00, this is a purchase that involves some major damage to a college students bank account. I’m starting to save up now and will keep you posted on how that goes. As soon as I buy it, I’ll let you know a personal review, and any other recommendations.
